ROSE SWEET JULIET- (Ausleap) PBR -Superb Rose Gift Birthday’s Plant & Flower Gifts For Mum,Mom,Women,Her,Girls

Roses have long been revered for both their stunning colors and their memorable fragrances. It is usually the color of a rose that first catches one’s attention but as soon as you get close to one, you want to smell it.

Roses come in a wide range of colors, and each color has its own meaning. Red roses are the flowers of love. White roses show sympathy and affection. A bouquet of yellow roses is just right for close friends.

Flowers are the easiest way to show your feelings and emotions. When we see a beautiful flower, we feel happy. They are a simple and sincere way to lift our spirits. The most beautiful flowers can bring a smile to someone face who has been sick or having a rough day.

Rose,is the most common answer given in response to the question about favorite flower throughout the world. The beautiful rose is the national flower of the United States. Whether its about a proposal of friendship or expressing your love rose is an obvious choice.

Roses have long been treasured for their classic looks and their famously sensuous fragrance in equal measure. As some of the most reliably beautiful flowers to grace any garden, it’s no wonder they’ve remained popular for hundreds of years.

Rose fragrance is exuded from glands on the lower petal surfaces, and its amount is limited by both the variety of the rose and by climatic conditions. Sun and warmth are needed for maximum production.  Roses are never as fragrant on a cloudy day as on a sunny one.

A recent study into the chemistry of rose scents has found a new biochemical pathway in the petals of the plants which produces a sweet-smelling fragrance that could be re-introduced into rose varieties that have lost their smell.

Scientists have identified an enzyme known as RhNUDX1 which plays a key role in producing the sweet fragrance of roses, which they suggest could be re-introduced into modern varieties that have lost their scent as a result of intensive breeding for better colour and shape.

From the beginning of history, man has venerated the rose and associated it with all manner of good things. Homer wrote in the Iliad that Aphrodite anointed the slain Hector with rose oil and another ancient myth relates the story of a young girl who presented the goddess Venus with some lovely roses. When an unsightly disease threatened to mar the young woman’s beauty, the goddess prescribed an application of roses, and of course, so the story goes, all was well.

Roses were considered the most sacred flowers in ancient Egypt and were used as offerings for the Goddess Isis. Roses have also been found in Egyptian tombs, where they were formed into funeral wreaths.

Of equal importance to our ancestors was the association of that which smelled good was that which worked curative powers over bodily ailments, and the rose took a prominent place in this theory. One reason for the preservation of the rose species is said to be the cultivation of roses within monastery walls by the monks. The preservation of dried rose petals as sachets was meant to release the fragrance of summer amid the cold of winter.

It is interesting that the original method of making potpourri was by fermentation, which, accordingly, gave it the name, which means “rotten pot.”

The association of roses with religion is as old as religion itself and found particular affinity with the Virgin Mary, whose many manifestations have frequently been reported as being accompanied by showers of fragrant rose petals.

The very term rose window shows the affinity of the flower with religious symbolism and many stained glass scenes of the Blessed Mother and other Saints show them holding roses. Underlying all of this was that association of fragrance with what is good.

The palette of roses now includes an amazing array of colors. Flowers may be solid-colored, striped, bi-colored (different colors on the insides and the outsides of the petals), or blends (two or more colors intermingled on each petal).

Remember that one fragrant rose in a mixed bouquet will perfume the room and give you the colors you want at the same time.Few flowers bloom for as long and abundantly as do roses. Choose their beauty and fragrance to decorate your garden and home.

Types Of Roses

With over 150 species of roses and thousands of hybrids, roses can be found in nearly every colour and a variety of shapes.Though there is no single definitive way to categorize roses, most specialists divide them into three main categories: Wild Roses, Old Garden Roses, and Modern Garden Roses.

3.Modern Roses

Any Rose identified after 1867, is considered a Modern Rose.

Old Garden Roses are the predecessors of Modern Roses. This group of Roses are very popular. The Modern Rose is the result of crossbreeding the hybrid tea with the polyanthus (a variety of primrose).

The colors of Modern Roses are varied, rich and vibrant. The most popular roses found in the class of Modern Roses are the  Floribunda Roses, and Grandiflora Roses. Although Modern Roses are adored by florists and gardeners, they do require proper care, and do not adapt well to colder environments.

12 CLASSIC RED ROSES BOUQUET – Bouquets of Romantic Red Roses for Love Anniversaries and Valentines Day by Eden4flowers

Roses are representative of love in all its forms, and  so became a popular Valentine’s Day flower during the 17th century.

It’s probably safe to say there’s no more prevalent or enduring symbol of love and beauty in Western culture than red roses.

Red roses often appear in poetry, literature, classical artwork, contemporary films and everywhere in between. Renowned Scottish poet, Robert Burns, compared his love to a red rose in the poem Red, Red Rose.

These fragrant blooms come in varying shades of red, which also carry different symbolic meanings. For example, a bright red rose signifies romance, while burgundy means a love that has yet to be realized.

The history of Valentine’s Day, legend  originated during the third century in Rome. During this time, Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers, so he outlawed marriage for young men.

A young priest named Valentine was furious with this injustice and defied Claudius by continuing to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. Claudius eventually discovered Valentine’s actions and sentenced him to death .

During his time in jail, Valentine fell in love with his jailer’s daughter, who visited him in prison. Before he was put to death, Valentine sent a letter to the girl and signed it, “From Your Valentine” — an expression we still use today. Valentine was executed on February 14, 270 AD. Later, around 496 AD, Pope Gelasius declared Feb. 14 a day to honor Valentine, who by that time had become a saint.

Today, we continue to honor St. Valentine and recall the history of Valentine’s Day each year on February 14 by celebrating our love for significant others, friends, and family. For thousands of years, the middle of February has been a time for fertility festival celebrations, so it is no wonder Valentine’s Day flowers are often the Valentine’s Day gift of choice around this time of year. For centuries, flowers have symbolized fertility, love, marriage, and romance.

Venus, the Roman goddess of love, was also associated with red roses which were said to be her favourite flower .

White roses given on St Valentines Day are a symbol of true love. Whereas yellow roses are a friendship St Valentines Day symbol .

There are gardeners throughout the world, who devote their time and expertise in growing and maintaining amazing rose gardens a beautiful part of our history.
